End-to-end Information Management through Information Processing Automation
TAS’s mission of providing end-to-end information management through Information Processing Automation is achieved through TAS’s two primary offerings –
- Document to Data-stream Creation – consists of the following automated steps to transform a document type (in multiple formats) into structured data-stream with significant reduction in current manual and programming efforts of humans –

- Integration of Disparate Data-streams – Automated integration and modeling of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data from diverse data-streams into an unified grid output with significant reduction in current manual and programming efforts of humans. The unified grid output is modeled with a consistent data structure which can streamline subsequent business processes and business analytics.
Unstructured Document to Data-stream Creation is automated transformation into unified data grid, information extraction and data mapping/ classification of a document type (in multiple formats) into structured data-stream with significant reduction in current manual and programming efforts of humans. It consists of the following sub-offerings –
- Automated Document Transformation into Unified Data Grid -Intelligent transformation of various input files (Scanned Images, PDF, HTML, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, relational database tables) into structured visual xml format. Identification and classification of information types (e.g., annual reports, contracts, patent documents, reports etc.) and different information units that make up a document or relational database (textual, tabular and image-based). While performing the transformation, the server understands and extracts information structure types of all input files to synthesize into a single unified data grid.
- Automated Information Extraction - Automated topic-based intelligent information extraction from any information type from diverse document formats
- Automated Data Mapping and Classification -TAS platform can transform these different information types and the different information units and automatically map them onto a customized taxonomy or a standard taxonomy structure such as IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP etc with contractual guarantees of accuracy

Unstructured, semi-structured and structured data from diverse data-streams can be transformed by TAS platform into an unified grid output which can be used for further analysis. Integrated data is used to create data models which can be leveraged by a) any system up stream/downstream for further analytics or b) TAS system for predictive analytics.TAS automates the process of data modeling - currently done through human engineering efforts which is resource intensive and people dependent. There is a carry forward of rich context that enables analytics. The system has the ability to analyze data points from unseen data source in a predictive manner vis-à-vis other systems which can perform analysis only on a pre-programmed basis. TAS products are capable of recognizing/discovering new data points from input data-streams.
- Unstructured and Structured Data Synthesis - Integrated automated solution that focuses on connection of unstructured and structured data. TAS InfoSieve platform has the ability to transform structured relational database tables and unstructured/semi- structured input documents(Scanned Images, PDF, HTML, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, emails, memos)into visual XML format and simultaneously extract all information units (paragraph text, non paragraph text, tabular data, numerical data, graphs, charts) across all document types and bring them on a single plane of analysis.

Madan Pandit, Founder and CEO
Madan Pandit is the founder and CEO of TAS. He brings to TAS 15 years of experience in information, document management and web technology businesses, along with hands-on expertise in information and language sciences.
By focusing on the information processing and analysis challenges faced by TAS' customers, Madan has built out the TAS business from scratch, with a commitment of further growth and spread of TAS' technology platform business across the globe.
Earlier Madan was associated with technology ventures related to information access, document management and data and text mining applications. He holds a post-graduate degree in Linguistics from Pune University, India.
Avinash Pendur, Coordinator, Technology Architecture
Avinash is an example of type of technology and domain experts that have gathered under one roof at TAS. His strength lies in helping different teams at TAS in combining the subtleties and details of mathematics, algorithms and various semantic layers that TAS technology architecture is built upon.
An engineering graduate from IIT Bombay, he has brought to the table his knowledge and passion for designing algorithms, creating data structures and software programming. His experience in massive data processing and data modeling has contributed to an enhanced technical expertise signature to TAS.
Avinash functions as facilitator, connecting core technology architecture, scalability and packaging of the TAS technology platform. He is ever ready to assist his co-workers by providing quirky solutions to troubleshoot the glitches of the technical team. Despite all this, Avinash still comes across as the mildest person around.
Vijay Prasad, Business Development Manager
Vijay drives the new customer acquisition and client relationship management efforts along with Madan and Pankaj. His responsibilities include working closely with top management and channel partners in various geographies to manage the sales pipeline and mine existing accounts. He has an extensive background in leading business development efforts in the IT-Enabled services , consulting and KPO space.
Kanwaljit Singh - Strategic Advisor
Kanwaljit Singh co-founded TAS along with Madan Pandit. Kanwal provided the initial investment and strategic help that is required to give shape to a new idea and getting the company started. Since then Kanwal has co-founded Helion Ventures - India-focused, stage independent venture fund, investing in technology-powered and consumer service businesses in sectors. In the meanwhile, Kanwal continues to provide strategic guidance to TAS.
He has over 20 years of experience in the areas of venture investing, marketing and business development across multiple sectors in India. In addition to his role at Helion, he serves on the boards of Jigrahak Mobility, Hurix Systems, Amba Research and Humming Bird Suites.
Kanwal was rated as one of the 25 'hottest young managers' by Business Today, a leading Indian business magazine in 2002. He holds a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Punjab University and an MBA in marketing and finance from the Faculty of Management Studies, New Delhi.
Pankaj Ganeriwal, VP-Finance and Administration
Pankaj acts as the Vice President of Finance and administration in TAS. He is a successful businessman and entrepreneur who has spurned many organizations and has vast experience in managing large organizations.
He brings to TAS the operational discipline and rigor necessary for any organization to streamline various functions, including Finance and Accounting, Human Resources and General Administration. He holds a post-graduate degree in Commerce from Osmania University, India.
